Three recalled players feature in the 12-strong netball squad announced today to defend the Silver Ferns' title at the New Delhi Commonwealth Games in October.

Shooter Daneka Wipiiti and defender Leana de Bruin have both returned after giving birth last year, while defender Anna Scarlett has received the nod after giving away her beach volleyball career.

She retired from netball after missing out on the 2007 New Zealand team to contest the world netball championships in Auckland.

The only new cap in former national under-21 player Grace Rasmussen, who impressed at goal attack in this season's trans-Tasman league with the Northern Mystics.

The team is: Liana Barrett-Chase, Leana de Bruin, Temepara George (vice-captain), Katrina Grant, Joline Henry, Laura Langman, Grace Rasmussen, Anna Scarlett, Maria Tutaia, Irene van Dyk, Casey Williams (captain), Daneka Wipiiti.
